I finished the rest of Season 3 Doctor Who earlier this week before I left town. I really liked the Human Nature and the Family of Blood episodes. Also, the first two episodes featuring the Master were really great but the finale was more or less a let down. I really liked John Simm as the Master, he made an awesome, charismatic, funny villain.

Also, I like him because he's a good dancer :D

The finale was a disappointment after all the good bulidup up the previous two episodes. First of all, the Master had caused the Doctor to age to the point where spent most of the episode resembling Dobby the House Elf from Harry Potter. :P Bad special effects! The Doctor is released from this when the Master gives the Doctor a sock everyone on the planet prays for the Doctor at the same moment. WTF? Seriously, are you kidding? How would that help? I mean, I know not to put too much into the logic of the show because a)thinking about time travel will hurt your brain and b) this is a show that solves many problems with the following logic: screwdriver + sonic = pocket sized deus ex machine. But still, this was just kind of bleah. :P

Oh, and I think Martha makes a good heroine, but her parting speech when she leaves and then comes back in just to tell the Doctor that she's going to get over him. So cringeworthy. Just leave it, Martha!

I really need to get the Season 2 dvds and then maybe I'll get this set. When is Discount DVD having their next sale?

Anyway, I'm writing this while stuck at Phoenix airport. More later when I hopefully get out of here.
