Oct. 9th, 2006 09:03 amWhen I was very little, I always remembered Sundays as the day when my parents would watch 60 Minutes and Masterpiece Theatre. I used to think the latter was so boring, which is funny now that I love the costume dramas and period pieces. My mom is the one who's to blame for that; she got me to watch I, Claudius (of all things) when I was a teenager and I've been hooked ever since. Yes, I know that's terribly uncool to admit; in fact, "You watch Masterpiece Theatre with your mom" sounds almost as derogatorily uncool as "Your mom dresses you funny" (and she did that too, actually), but I'm old so I don't give a shit anymore. I can say that you should totally watch Masterpiece Theatre. It is teh awesome. Bring on the pretty, pretty costumes.
Anyway, Casanova aired last night and was utterly fabulous. It is written by Russell T. Davies (who's responsible for the current Dr. Who revival) and stars David Tennant (the 10th Doctor), who is cute in an incredibly geeky way. (Except for when he's rocking the mullet. Please. Don't rock the mullet.)It's very cute and funny and sexy. I'm very much looking forward to Part 2 next week.
Good lord, could I have any more paranthesis in this entry? (Sorry. And yes.) No more blogging at 5 am.
