hello from san diego
Mar. 13th, 2008 10:34 pmToday I took my first trip since working at the airline. Finally something to make up for getting yelled at by customers on the phone. It was rather stressful since it was at 6:30 in the morning and I was worried that the flight would be too full for them to let me and my mom on the plane. But it worked out just fine and we're having a nice visit with my sister so far. She goes out on military deployment on Monday, so I'm a little sad that we only have a few days to hang out.
Today we went to the Old Town part of San Diego, which was pretty if touristy (that's okay, i eat touristy stuff up with a spoon) and we got to see the Most Haunted House in San Diego. I'm very disappointed that I didn't see anything supernatural. (I also didn't see anything out of the ordinary at the Winchester House, so my psychic powers are looking to be pretty puny.) I'm not sure why it's so haunted (one docent told us that there reportedly 20 different ghosts), but they Whaleys do look pretty miserable even by Victorian standards and if you're going to build your house on the site of a former gallows, well, that's just asking for trouble.
I'm not sure what we'll do tomorrow, except that it involves getting up early (again) and possibly pancakes. Pancakes forthwith!
I still can't sleep though, so I think I'm going to see if the last episode of Lost is on the intertubes yet. Oh, internets, I love you.
Wheee, a day not spent at work!
