fiercebunny: (the Doctor brings cake)
I was going through my picture folders yesterday and found this picture of a cake that I had at a patisserie in San Diego. I had forgotten taking it, but I decided to post it because cake = happy, yes? It had raspberry, white chocolate and hazelnuts. To be honest, it looked prettier than it tasted. I did eat the rose petals by the way, which although are edible, maybe weren't meant to be eaten along with the cake. Rose petals just don't taste as awesome as you think they would. (Stupid fairies!) Whatever, it was on the plate. I wish I could remember the name of the tea that I had while I was there though, because that was really delicious. All I can remember is that it was possibly an oolong and had something to do with raisins, which is not very helpful.*

cake or death?

I had a nice Fourth of July. I had to work, but it was so slow that they lowcalled half my shift and let me go. Yay for not working. I went over to Sarah's house because Charlotte was in town with her boyfriend, as was our friend Martin. It is so much nicer to get to hang out with friends than take calls. Much barbecue and ice cream was had. I was especially happy to chat with Charlotte because she's made of awesome and I don't think I've talked to her since last year when I went to Arkansas for her graduation. We couldn't see the fireworks from Sarah's house, but we sat around and listened to music. Good times :)

meme stolen from everyone...

From Entertainment Weekly's top 100 movies of the last 25 years. Go through their list, BOLD the ones you have seen, and underline the ones you own on video or DVD; put an asterisk next to the one you love. Italicize the ones you want to see. Strike through the ones you hate/don't want to ever see.

Crème brûlée

Here's another picture from Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego. This was a German Chocolate
crème brûlée that Sarah ordered. ("Hurry up and take your picture and get out of my way.") She let me try a bit of it and I kind of wish that I had ordered that instead of the cake, because you can't really go wrong with crème brûlée, even if it does have a small garden perched on top of it.

My thoughts on the Doctor Who finale, let me show you them:
It made me wish that I lived in Cardiff so that maybe I might someday see Russell T. Davies on the street and then I could yell, "What the hell is wrong with you?!??" at him.
