Well, this week kind of sucked. There was only one day this week (Saturday) at work where we did not have at least 300 or more calls on hold. It is not fun to tell someone that their flight is canceled (again) and nothing is available until Christmas day. And then the next person. And the next. Winter sucks, y'all.
Other news:
I stitched up most of a Dalek while I was dispensing disappointment to the masses. Still quite a bit more to do.
I'm in the middle of reading a historical mystery where Charlotte Brontë gets mixed up with a conspiracy involving the opium trade. It's really, really odd. The plot is intriguing and suitable for the time period, but for the main character, Charlotte Brontë is just a weird choice for Girl Detective. Try to imagine a repressed agoraphobe with really low self esteem trying to fight crime, but getting a stress headache during any tense situation and you have this book. Aaaand I think I just realized why my childhood ambition to be Nancy Drew did not work out.
I want to make cookies, but it's too cold to go to the grocery store. And I'm too tired from talking all day to move from the couch. Maybe it will warm up tomorrow, I hope. I still have to finish up Christmas shopping.
