Last night I happened to catch an old episode of classic Trek. Man, I forget how much fun that show was. This particular episode, the crew beamed down to a planet where plant spores gave everyone a sense of perfect bliss and happiness, so they all abandoned the ship. Except of course, Kirk wasn't up with all that hippie bullshit and he got all pissy and stompy until he figured out that he could cure them by being an asshole. LOLS, good times.

Lol, I called the boy while he was at work just to tell him about that episode while I watched it. Here was my synopsis:
Kirk: "These people are dead."
Old Man: "Think Again!"
Girl: "Hi there Spock, baby!"
Spock: "..."
Kirk: "Gotta get all you people off this planet."
Bones: "Yeah, or you're gonna DIE!"
Old Man: "Nah."
Girl: "Spock, smell this flower!"
Flower: ::SPOOGE!::
Spock: "Oh, la de da! I love you! Hee hee!" ::smooch::
Kirk: "..."
Flower: ::SPOOGE MORE!::
Crew: "Oh, la de da! I love everyone!"
Kirk: "This is MUTINY!"
Crew: "Yep!"
Spock: "I love you some more! Hee hee!" ::smooch::
Kirk: "This sucks. Spock, could you come help me?"
Spock: "What's the lead pipe for, Jim?"
Kirk: "You computerized, brainless, mutinous half-breed!"
::whack! whack!::
Spock: "Well that was uncalled for, but I'm back to my old self now."
Girl: "I still love you, Mr. Spock...what's your first name, anyway?"
Spock: "Mindyaownbusiness."
Kirk: "Let's get everyone else back."
Crew: "Oh, la de daaa....dayum, that hurts my ears! Oh shit, what have we done?"
Old Man: "Uh, we'll go now."
The End

Bwah-ha-ha! Yes, that's it in a nutshell. Flower spooge made everyone experience perfect happiness except for that asshole Kirk and his lead pipe. Poor Spock. It's too bad he stopped just before beating the crap out of Kirk.

I giggled like an adolescent when Kirk was talking to himself and said something like, "Aroused, Spock can be very strong and may hurt me". All I could picture was Spock-Kirk S&M.

That part cracked me up! Really, the slash just writes itself.

God I love that episode especially as it's the one with Spock peacing out (isn't it? Maybe I misremember).

Trek did specialize in ending people's happy delusions, didn't it?

Yep, Spock totally peaces out possibly gets laid before Kirk crushes the happiness out of him.

I think the deal is, if Kirk's not happy, then nobody else gets to be happy. Did you ever see the space hippies episode? The one where Spock jammed with the hippies on his Vulcan harp? Good times. I think Kirk just doesn't like it when happy people are around to point out what a square he really is.

I think Kirk thought happy = getting laid. And we all know that Kirk is the only one allowed to get laid on Trek.

Kirk is only really in love with the Enterprise. What is it with sci-fi heroes and their transportation?
