I'm so behind everyone in the world as to watching Dr. Who. I finally felt sufficiently recovered from teh sadness that is the end of Season 2 and started to queue up Season 3 from Netflix. I really liked the "Runaway Bride" episode. It rocked. I'm glad that Donna's going to end up being the companion in Season 4, because she's awesome and funny and willing to take the piss out of the Doctor.
Martha is okay, but seems to be under the impression that the Doctor showed up as an intergalactic date. Which, to be honest, would be my reaction in the same situation too :P But CLEARLY the Doctor is still pining after Rose/not interested. It would be much better if they just showed Martha being independant and intelligent and left it at that, the tepid romantic tension between them is just sort of not really working for me.
The pigs in Manhattan episodes are boring me too, by the way. I actually skipped past the second parter. The Lazaraus episode wasn't great either and disturbed me, mostly because Dr Lazarus reminded me of Mark McKinney as the Chicken Lady. At what point does the Master show up? It better be soon so I can finally get the point of all those LJ icons I've been seeing around.
This week's episode of Lost was great too. I love that show SO much. Ben is such a cold-hearted bastard. More Sawyer and Sayid, please.

The Master doesn't make an appearance until episode 11, so there's a bit to go, unfortunately. I'll give you a brief non-spoiler rundown of what you've got left after Lazarus:
Ep. 7, '42' ~
Spaceship falling into the sun, everyone is going to die, OH NOES! (Reminds me of the 'Satan Pit' 2-parter, except lamer.)
Ep. 8-9, 'Human Nature' & 'The Family of Blood'
Another 2-parter. 1913, Doctor loses his memory and thinks he's human. Martha's emo wank reaches new heights. Animated scarecrow men.
Ep. 10, 'Blink'
This season's 'non-Doctor' episode. Written by Steve Moffat, who as usual turns in a bloody brilliant script. I'm not giving any of this one away, because I don't want to spoil it.
Ep. 11, 'Utopia'
Captain Jack! Derek Jacobi! The end of the universe! Oh, and the Doctor has a bit of a Tom Baker speachifying flashback to 'The Ark in Space'...
Ep. 12, 'The Sound of Drums'
In which we learn the results of an election in which everyone votes Saxon. Martha gets set down so badly I almost pity her. More Captain Jack!
Ep. 13, 'Last of the Time Lords'
Series finale. Religious overtones are rather crushing. Martha redeems herself somewhat. More Captain Jack!

I have to admit as to being a noobie still, I've only seen 9th and 10th Doctor (and that tv movie with Paul McGann ages ago.) I'm thinking about Netflixing some of the older shows though. Any recommendations? :)

w/Sarah Jane Smith:
The Ark in Space
Genesis of the Daleks
Pyramids of Mars
The Hand of Fear
w/Leela
The Robots of Death
The Talons of Weng-Chiang
w/Romana #1 (Key to Time Series):
The Ribos Operation
The Pirate Planet (written by Douglas Adams!)
The Stones of Blood
The Androids of Tara
The Power of Kroll
The Armageddon Factor
LOL, that should be enough to get you started! I'm also fond of the 3rd Doctor (Jon Pertwee) and the 5th Doctor (Peter Davidson), but I started off with Tom, and he is, as he says in his very first episode, 'the definitive article' :p All other Doctors in my experience are judged against his standard.

lost
ive been reading up on einstein, tesla, and the bible and making some starting connections, still im lost.
Re: lost
In a way, I'm glad that they're only doing a few more seasons because I think this is a series that would really benefit by having an actual ending instead of going on forever. I can't wait to see how it all is going to be resolved. At the same time, I will be so sad when it's over.
