Heh, truth be told, I've only read one Holt novel since I was in high school though there was a time when I devoured any I could lay hands on (which turn out to be quite a few, since the school library had a fair number, and they turned up regularly at the local thrift store). Whereas the few Plaidy novels I've tried I've never been able to finish. Maybe it's because the ones I've attempted don't fall into historical periods that hold much appeal for me.
To Dance With Kings is definitely going on my wishlist--a novel about fan makers is right up my alley :p Thanks for the suggestions :D
