OMG *Squee!*

I received an amazing exchange from Lynn, whom I'd met through the Hooked on Exchanging blog. Earlier this year, we had decided to do a tea themed exchange with one another. OMG, I was so excited when I received a package in the mail from the UK this weekend!

A note from Lynn with nice calligraphy. I am already way impressed.

This picture was actually taken today with everything put back in the box, but originally everything was wrapped up separately in silvery tissue paper in ribbons. I admit to being too impatient and excited to take pictures at the time :)

Tada, the contents! I was expecting just one cross stitch piece, but Lynn outdid herself with the extras and stitched three. Oh my goodness, I am totally overwhelmed.
There is also a pattern booklet, some of DMC's new scented floss, tea cup patterned fabric, and a card. Everything else is hand made by Lynn.

I think this pattern is so pretty and elegant.

The back of it has my initial stitched 1 over 1.

And it holds tea! I think it's funny that Lynn happened to send blackberry nettle tea, because coincidentally, blackberry is one of my favorite flavors.

She also sent a heart ornament in my favorite colors. I love how Lynn made this. You should see the other ornaments that she's made and posted about on her blog. She is so good and creative at finishing. I am tempted to start making ornaments now.

The back of the ornament.

Lynn told me this was the first time she tried finishing a cross stitch box.

She put so much detail and effort into it (as she did with everything).
Inside the heart box contained...

A little Fimo tea pot and teacup and rose pins. Adorable! I bow to Lynn's creative skills, they are truly impressive, I don't think there's anything she couldn't make at this point. I have been looking at everything this way and that to try and figure out how everything is put together.
Now it is still my turn to wait for my part of the exchange to reach Lynn in England (I hope it gets there soon! *am on pins and needles*) But I know it can't compare to Lynn's skilled work. I am going to have to work way harder to keep up!
Thank you so much for a wonderful exchange, Lynn! I truly am touched by all the work and generosity you put into this. *hugs*
