Up late again tonight putting together my scissor keeper exchange, which unfortunately, is a day past the deadline :( This is the first time I've stitched a scissor keeper and it took a bit longer than I expected, but I'm really happy with how it turned out!

In other happy making news, The National announced that they're doing a show in Dallas in October. Yay! That's just close enough that I can justify making the trip (Though when I heard they were doing a show with Rufus and Martha Wainwright in Buffalo, of all places, I was severely tempted, but couldn't quite rationalize it. My work flies there, I could have made it happen!) The only unfortunate thing is that I don't know anyone IRL who also likes the National, so I'll be going on my own. But I don't mind (too much) about doing stuff on my own and I haven't loved a new band as much as this in a long time, so it will totally be worth the trouble, I think. The only problem will be my impatience in waiting for October; I will have played High Violet to death by that time.

Okay, off to get some sleep now. I have to get up early to go to the post office, not to mention doing some dratted overtime tomorrow.

Oh, and here's a picture of some sleeping ferrets, for your trouble. :D

I don't have a lot of experience with ferrets but they are so cute! For a minute I thought there was three of them. That's so lovely the way they're all cozied up together. Aw bless.

They are basically the nosiest, laziest creatures alive. :D But they make very cute house guests.

Hey!!
