Riceball is extremely nosy and has to check out every new thing that she sees.


"What are you doing?"


"What is this thing?"


"Oh, she's just taking pictures again."

It's still a lot easier to get Riceball's picture because she will occassionally stay still and look at the camera (or like in this case, really look at the camera) whereas Manju will just ignore me and run away. No paparazzi for Manju, thank you.

I wouldn't have thought I would like ferrets as a pet, not for any specific reason, just that I am more used to dogs. But looking at your pictures, it has now become clear to me that I am just a sucker for a pretty face. I love that last picture. Work that camera, Riceball, you adorable little sweetie!!

Riceball is very good at winning people over. I think babysitting the ferrets was really part of my sister's not so secret plan to convince our mom to get a pet ferret of her own and while she's not quite there yet, she really likes Riceball and Manju now.

Heh, I had to wait till I got back from work because I couldn't remember the name of the kibble in the yellow bag (it's Ultra Blend Select (http://www.petco.com/product/4435/8-in-1-Ultra-Blend-Select-Complete-Nutrition-Ferret-Diet.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch)). We also give them the chicken flavored chew treats (http://www.petco.com/product/14308/N-Bone-Ferret-Chew-Treats.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch), which they LOVE. Getting Manju to eat is problematic too though, since sometimes he won't eat his kibble and is only interested in the chicken treats. Riceball is much less picky.
