fiercebunnyIt's been awhile since my last proper post. So this is what's up.
Manju, the little brown ferret, has been losing fur and is not eating very well:( I took him to the vet last week and we're still waiting for the test results to come back, but I emailed my sister and she said that it sounds like adrenal disease. Riceball had the same problem about a year ago and she had to have a little surgery. She's fine now though, so I hope the same will be true for Manju. He doesn't actually act very much like he's sick, besides the fur loss and wanting to have his kibble hand fed to him. Wish the lab would hurry up with results.
In other news:
I'm rewatching season 2 of True Blood. There are some really good parts, but Mary Ann's never ending orgy is as boring as it was the first time around. I think I'm going to have to do some fast forwarding.
My reaction to last night's episode: Eeeewww.
Also watched the Doctor Who finale.
I can't believe I got through a Who finale without tearing up and having to need a week of recuperation. It was actually fun and happy! That is such a nice change.
I think the first episode introducing Eleven was really great, but after that the middle of the season seemed to lose a lot of its momentum and wasn't really grabbing my attention. I think maybe having double two-parters was at fault. And I really didn't like Rory at the beginning, his clinginess was very annoying, but once he stopped treating the Doctor as a huge threat and started to get along with him, I liked Rory a lot better. And he totally won me over by the last two episodes. The centurion costume probably helped, ngl.
Glastonbury was this past weekend, so I have been busy watching concert videos too. (I finally figured out how to use FoxyProxy, yay.) Here's one of Florence + the Machine doing a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain".
Also, I am planning on doing a bloggiversary drawing, which *cough* was actually last week, but what with everything going on plus the stupid overtime, it's taking longer than I expected. All the stitching is done so really all I have to do is finish the finishing. It's a new type of project so I am trying to figure it out as I go along. Off to go work on it now (as soon as I finish wasting time on the internets.)
