I hope everyone is having a good start to the new year so far. I had a nice holiday. Christmas was spent partly at work, although I got to go home early and I took my mom out to see Dreamgirls. (Which was good. The audience was well behaved for such a large crowd - and they broke into applause three seperate times during Jennifer Hudson's big number. As for Beyonce, she really didn't have a lot to work with. Her character was pretty bland, which was odd because Diana Ross always struck me as being kind of bitchy and crazy. Anyways.) New Year's Eve, I hung out with a small party of friends and had a lovely time.

I've been lazy about keeping track of my books lately, but I still scraped together an end of the year list:
