(no subject)

Finally got a chance to go out to the movies. Sarah and I went to see Children of Men tonight. Wow, that was such a fantastic movie. And so very, very intense. There are a few points in the film, early on, that kind of lull you into a dreary, dystopian quietness and then suddenly a Holy Shit! moment. And then I just stayed in HS! mode for about the last hour and a half or so. I was so tense watching it that by the time I stumbled out of the theater, I felt like I'd been kicked repeatedly. (That and between the shaky cam and the gruesome violence, I was also really regretting my decision to stuff myself with pizza earlier.)

Now I must go and fill my Netflix queue with Clive Owen dvds.
