(no subject)

Hung out with mythicalgryphon on Friday for a cross stitch at Barnes & Nobles' cafe (I had a yummy strawberry buttercream cupcake there) and then Mexican food (no, I never stop eating) before we went to see Pirates3. Alas, we never learned from previous mistakes and arrived only early enough to find the last two seats together three rows back from the screen.

As for the movie itself, hmmm. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I definitely need to see it again before I make up my mind. It did have its awesome yay moments, but I think my dominant reaction after seeing it was, "Whaaa...?" Partly because I couldn't understand a lot of the dialogue because of either heavy accents (Tia Dalma), a mouthful of tentacles (Davy Jones), too much "Arrrrr!"ing (Barbossa, Gibbs) or because they were Keith Richards.

Also, if you haven't seen it yet, make sure you stay till after the credits. Then come home and read Cleolinda's LJ for info regarding the last scene. I felt a lot less annoyed after reading that, although the filmmaker's should have made it more clear.
