I adopted two ferrets. The white one with gray patches is a girl we've named Snowball and the brown one is a boy named Mochi. They're almost four months old. They are super hyper and also incredibly lazy. So worn out by new experiences! They've decided they really like ferretone (also known as ferret vitamins or ferret crack), chicken treats, their new kibble, and tubes. Bath time was sucky. The jury is undecided so far on hammocks. We will wait and see.

Yay yay!!! Congrats! They'll figure out hammocks and it'll be worth it.

Ferretone: you may already know this, but when I learned it I was AMAZED, so I'm passing in on just in case - it's brilliant for toenail-cutting time. You just squeeze a little Ferretone on the critter's belly and while they're licking it off, clip the nails with a normal people-style nail clipper. It's genius.

God, no joke! I smear peanut butter all over a dinner plate & let the dog lick it when I'm doing his nails - it's a race to see which one of us will get done first.

Cat... no such luck. Plus we'd never be forgiven by any cat for dirtying its belly.

I have never tried that! It looks easier than having someone scruff them while I try to trim the nails and they make faces like they're being tortured. Thank you for the tip.

Plus, I love that bit in the video where the ferret stops licking the ferretone and is like, "Wait, what are you doing?" OMG, cute.
