favorite movies of last year
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - I think this might be one of my favorite movies of any year. So sweet and funny. It's just one of those movies that stays with you for a long time.
Kill Bill, vol 2 - They need to come out with the special edition set already, damn it.
Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle
Spiderman 2 - Okay, I'm a geek. But you probably knew that already.
Hidalgo
Ray
And there's a ton of other movies from last year that I probably would list except that I haven't gotten around to seeing them or they haven't reached Oklahoma yet. Like A Series of Unfortunate Events, which I finally saw last week and really enjoyed. I thought the children playing the Baudelaires did a very good job of looking deadpan. This also means that I somehow managed to get through all of 2004 without seeing Jude Law in a movie until last week, and even then, only in silhouette. (Wait, I did rent Cold Mountain, which I hated. Stupid ass movie.)
Most expensive 80's music video ever made
The Phantom of the Opera
And best time at the worst movie of the year. . .
The Village
I went to see this with a bunch of friends up in Tulsa. It's horrid, just absolutely horrid. If there had been other people there and we had to sit through that dreck silently, it would have been unendurable; I would have died a little inside. Fortunately, the four of us were the only people in the theater and we got to yell and make fun of it as much as we wanted to. And there's a lot to make fun of. If you ever feel the need to refresh your snarkiness, I highly recommend this.
In other news,
I got my ACLU card in the mail today. I am now officially a pinko commie enemy of the state. Yay!
