Indeed. The first scene really set the tone, I thought, saying "this movie is going to be a bit dark and gross, but not in the way you expect..."
After Quills, Shine, and Mystery Men (Casanova Frankenstein is a great name for a villain!) I believe there's nothing Geoffrey Rush can't or won't do. I heard that he was going be in a spoof of Merchant-Ivory films called The Remains of the Piano but it seems to have fallen through. :(
