One of the reasons I like doll collecting is that it gives me the opportunity to wear clothes vicariously. I don't think I could pull off the gothic-lolita look personally, but the clothes are gorgeous.
This, for example, is a wa-loli style dress. "Wa" is the Japanese word for, well, things Japanese. Wa-loli combines traditional elements of Japanse fashion, (kimono styles or textiles) with the foofier lolita style(lace, petticoats, etc.)

I got this outfit on Yahoo!Japan, which is even crackier crack than Ebay. The background is my bedroom curtain, by the way. It's really good at keeping out light, which is great when you're trying to sleep till 3p, but not so great when you're trying to take photos.
I just like how this close-up turned out.
