I've at last got that huge-ass cross stitch project finished.

This is what it looks like now...

A closeup of the faces. The guy has a strange receding hairline, no? I got rid of the mullet though (just added extra sky and clouds in its place)

a closeup of the beading on the skirt

thank jebus it's done with! I can't quite believe that I had the patience to do all of that. Now the scary part of taking it to the framers...

Oh my she's beautiful!! Absoluting stunning. I can't believe you got it done either! *laugh* BRAVO!! *wolf whistles* BRAVO!

and on sober reflection.. he looks MUCH better without the mullet, you were right. You should get a top three placing on it next year if you enter it. hopefully they'll forget the same piece won last year. ;)

*cheers again just because*

It looks wonderful! I don't know too much about cross stitch but it must have been a lot of work. >< Very impressive!

Beautiful job! I especially like the beading-- my needlework pieces always end up covered in beads :p

I think once I've burned out my obsessive freak for crochet I'm finally going to buy a cross stitch pattern. I love satin stitch, but freehand embroidery can be excruciatingly aggravating...hence the nearly two months that have passed since I worked on my 'current' project.
