hell has indeed frozen over

Oh lordy, I am so bored.
The ice storm hit OKC Friday morning and I was dumb enough to go in to work that afternoon. Unfortunately, I was the only evening person who did and by the time I arrived, several of the morning people had already left early too. Gradually, the number of people taking calls dwindled to a bare handful and I was the only person left in my department. I got to about halfway through my shift and told the supervisors that I was going to go home after lunch. They sounded like they were okay with that (they had apparently been arguing with workforce all day over why they wouldn't just shut the center down.) When I left, I think there were maybe 3 people remaining in the whole building.
I called out Saturday and Sunday, since the weather had gotten worse. I don't know if anyone bothered to show up for work (except for my supervisor, who I knew definitely wasn't coming); I'm kind of curious to find out. Anyway, that left me with a four day weekend, but four days stuck inside the house. I watched The Illusionist, the Golden Globes, I cleaned(!) house somewhat. As proof, this picture of a freshly dusted bookcase. (Also, I just like looking at pictures of people's bookcases.) Yeah. Don't wait four years to dust. I still have 3 more knick-knack laden bookcases to go.
I finally got out of the house today to go to Walmart. Most of the city streets are still slick, but mostly clear. My driveway is a solid sheet of ice however. No sign of it melting anytime soon, according to the weathermen. And it's supposed to snow this weekend. Crap.
