blatantly copying Tori Amos.

Heh. Since From the Choirgirl Hotel is one of my all time favorite albums, I just had a whim to try scanning a dolly in imitation of the cover art. Sebastienne seemed an ideal model as she gives good face, with less potential for crazy eye angles. These are rather repetitve shots, but I like the underwater, floaty effect. (And they were really fun to do. No bother with shaky hands.) I think I might try it again with a doll with open eyes to see how it turns out. After all, it's going to be a long weekend.

That is very cool. I have to hook up my printer/scanner to my pc tomorrow for school boring stuff, maybe I will try that just to liven things up =)

I take it you left the cover off? I have done this with smaller dolls but with the cover on, but then it ends up white in the background.

good job!

Thanks! ^_^ I think it would be more interesting with smaller dolls, they would fit better on my tiny scanner. Sebastienne was sort of hanging off and on top of desk junk.

I left the cover off and turned the room light off. At first I tried to put a black cloth over her to make it extra dark, but the folds of cloth were too obvious on the scanner.
