snowbunny pinkeep

A bit out of season, but I just finished putting this pinkeep together. It's a Little House Needleworks pattern that was in the Just Cross Stitch ornament issue last year. And since it was bunnies, I couldn't resist. I added another piece of fabric to the back so there would be a little pocket for scissors.

1.) How do you hold your fabric? Usually in a hoop or Q-snap in my left hand.
2) Floss licker? :P Yeah. I think it's gross, but I do it anyway. I'm trying to break myself of the habit and use a threader.
3) How do you thread your needle? What an odd question.
5) Are you a needle loser? Oh god, yes. All the damn time.
6) What fabric do you prefer to stitch on? Linen. It took me awhile, (I started on aida and then I moved onto to evenweaves and never looked back.), I used to prefer jobelan, but linen is now my favorite. Especially hand dyed linens.
7) Bobbins or floss bags? Bobbins for DMC cotton floss. Baggies for hand-dyed threads and silks.
8) Are you a scissors collector? No, I would like to (I collect just about everything else), but I can't afford to. I'd really like to buy this pair of mother of pearl handled scisors, but I'm not quite that crazy yet.
9) Do you do your own framing, and if so, do you lace or pin? I've framed a couple of small things, nothing big. I've tried lacing, with not much success. *whispers*
I use blue painter's tape. That's probably a bad idea.

10) Are you a floss floozy? Yes, I love buying different types of thread. You never know when you'll need it.
11) Silk? Yes. I love silk. Especially hand-dyed silk like Waterlilies or Belle Soie.
12) Railroader? I'm not sure what this means, so now.
13) Are you a pattern or designer snob? I dunno. I like what I like. There are some designers that I really like LHN, Judy Whitman, Mirabilia, and some that don't appeal to me. I don't think that's a big deal or that there's anything snobby about it. Your mileage may very, etc.
14) Do you get antsy when you give someone a stitched gift? Yes.
15) Have you reached S.A.B.L.E.? (Stash Acquisition Beyond Life Expectancy) A local needlework shop went out of business here and I went slightly insane at their clearance sale, so yes. I have a lot of patterns that I probably won't ever use. But I like to look at them!
16) Do you wash your projects? No. I tend to use over-dyed threads and I'm afraid the color will run if I do. But I always make sure to have clean hands when I'm working on something, so it hasn't been a problem so far.

Went to see The Forbidden Kingdom at the Warren Theater today. Whoa, that was ... not good. Enjoyed seeing Jackie Chan and Jet Li fight each other, but that was about it. The rest was pretty cringe-worthy. (Like the stupid orphan girl who would only refer to herself in third person, WTF?)

Bunnies! *loves the fabric!*

lol, I should do this meme, I haven't done one in a while. And I think the threading needle question has to do with if you fold it in half (that's me) or use a threader, or are a licker and just eyeball the end through the eye (I'm guessing that's you).

As for railroader, you got me. As for painter's tape, good stuff. It's what a lot of professionals use for sound recording and live sound gigs, because it doesn't leave a lot of residue.

I never thought of folding it in half before, that's a good idea.

Japanese fabric is made of win.

Oh goodness, before I read the description my crazy brain totally sorted that fabric on the right as being covered in big-eye alien heads O_O Yeah, I don't think I got enough sleep last night...
