I almost forgot to post pictures of the mattress pincushion I made for the HoE exchange! Mine went to Lynn in the UK. After checking out her blog and noting what colors she liked, I decided on this pattern by Les Grilles de Maryse, a French designer.

On this one, I decided to try something different and do a ribbon border. The only tutorial I could find for that was at this blog, which despite being in French is very helpful, what with all the pictures and Google translating.

Optometrist follow-up appointment. (I'm not sure I like my new optometrist. He kind of freaked me out last time, suddenly going on about detached retinas. Which he told me I don't have, but only after several minutes of describing torn and peeling retinas and potential blindness. I nearly had a panic attack.)
Going over to a friend's house for an Election Watch Party. At which, I'm told there will be fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Awesome.
