fiercebunny: (Keaton reading)
Today is my Friday. Thank goodness. The customers calling in were really draining the last bit of life from my soul today. And watching Tess of the D'Urbervilles on tv now is not helping my outlook on humanity either. There is too much douchebaggery in this story. I knew there was a reason to avoid Hardy.

Anyways, here are the results of the Amazon binge yesterday:
Doomed Queens: Royal Women Who Met Bad Ends, From Cleopatra to Princess Di. I like royal scandals. Good times.

The Lady Elizabeth Historian Alison Weir's latest novel. Nine bucks for the hardcover, a pretty good deal.

Thus Was Adonis Murdered. Sarah Caudwell's mysteries were mentioned on the SF Current Reads thread and they sounded really interesting. Plus, it has an Edward Gorey cover, can't pass that up.

A dvd of The Fall. I saw this in the theater last year. It's a gorgeous looking film.

Lastly, I ordered some hand dyed linen fabric from Silkweaver.com. Will post pictures of twhen it arrives. Someday I will learn to finish projects before I start planning new ones. Someday.

ETA: Okay, the Stonehenge scene in Tess kind of makes me want to cry, except I can't look at Stonehenge without imagining midgets dancing around a smaller version of it. So now I'm just feeling confused. But still pissed off.
