so much crankiness

It's been ages since I've posted, but there's really nothing to update because nothing's been happening in my life except for work, work work. Seriously, work is sucking so hard right now. I have overtime every day and I've also had to come in and do a half day on my first day off, every week for a freaking month now. It is making me exceedingly cranky and bitchy. I want a proper weekend, damn it!
Also, they've changed a lot of the computer programs that we use at work and I've convinced that whoever programmer designed them must really hate people. Or maybe they just spend all their time coding and haven't talked to actual people in a really long time. I think I'm relatively proficient with computers but these programs are really user unfriendly. And they error out and go down all the time. This, on top of being swamped with a queue of 100-300 callers on a daily basis.
Ugh, I wanted to post an update and didn't really want to focus the whole update about complaining, but I can't get work annoyance out of my headspace right now. But that's pretty much where I'm at right now, just a continuous state of UGH. If I can just get to next month, I will finally have some consecutive days off. Just one more week.
I think I'm going to go find some alcohol now.
ETA: Okay, to be honest, I did go to Dallas this month (though my vacation was still curtailed by the mandatory overtime) and had a nice time. I had really good seafood at Pappadeaux's and bought a pair of $200 boots at Anthropologie that were on sale for $54. Yaaaaaaay boooooooots. So that was literally my one highlight of the month so far.
ETA 2: I found some red wine. yaaaaaay. I'm starting to feel a lot better already. Going to drink and rewatch series 5 of Doctor Who. wooo.

Date: 2011-03-29 09:41 am (UTC)ps, let me know if you still want a Poko bag. I have heard that LJ comment notifications might not be getting through so thought I would mention it here that I have a pink one for you.
Hope things ease up so you can get a bit of time off. Do they just need to hire more people?

Date: 2011-03-31 06:33 am (UTC)I'm glad that you were able to cheer up the people at Poko Cafe. It's nice to be able to help.
Work is a combination of mishaps and not preparing well enough. They are hiring more people, but training takes a month, so it will be awhile before things settle. Thank you for your good wishes, they do cheer me up.

Date: 2011-03-31 06:39 am (UTC)When I got up this morning both Twitter and LJ were down. LJ is getting DOS big time so that could continue.
Boo to too much work. Maybe knowing that in a few minutes 100% of everything sold on Sanrio.com is going to Japan? It's for 3/31 from 12 am to 11 pm. I'm hoping I can get a Tokidoki bag at least =)
